Diligent Seeking

  • by

In an attempt to separate the ewes and the rams yesterday, we embarked upon an interesting adventure! I keep the ewes with the lambs in the paddock because coyotes will get them when they are small. I don’t need the rams in the paddock because it’s too crowded. However, sheep are not easily separated!!!!! To even get them apart, it takes feed. Unfortunately, when you have feed, they want it immediately and there is no stopping them! Sooo…without professional pens, separating them is not an easy task. If you mix impatient sheep and a lot of mud, you almost have a disaster. After a couple of hours of roping, chasing, and bulldogging, we finally tasted success. The battles was more apparent on some of us than others, however!!!

I couldn’t help but think what would happen if I sought God as diligently as the sheep sought me, and if I sought spiritual food with the same fervor as the sheep did their feed. Jeremiah 29:13 If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me. There is no doubt about it; my walk with God would be off the chart!

That me underneath the sheep after I slipped in mud and they took me down to get the feed!
